In this 2 hour session we will go over some of the options you have when slicing a model for printing. This includes the following.

  1. What are Supports?
    • InFill
    • Skirt
    • Brim
    • Raft
    • Other (Tree, Auto, etc.)
  2. How to Scale, Move, Rotate, and Clone your model.
  3. Viewing the sliced model (layer by layer)
  4. Adding a color change at a layer (manual color swap)
  5. Painting Colors (Bambu)
  6. Basic object modification
    • Adding a shape
    • Adding a negative (void) shape.
    • Adding Text



A computer will be available during class but you are strongly encouraged to bring your own laptop with you, and to download and install the Prusa slicer in advance. If you bring that along, I will help you get it set up and you will be able to do much of this work on your own computer. The software is free and it can be downloaded from the following location.
