Welcome to Waukesha Makerspace — Where Makers Come Together! New Member Orientation is your first step to becoming an active part of our community. This session is required for all new members before using the shop or participating in community activities.
During orientation, you'll get a full walkthrough of our space, learn how to safely and respectfully use our tools and equipment, and understand our policies and expectations. You'll also get your key fob tested and activated, learn how to reserve storage, and get connected with our community on Discord, the Members Directory, and the Wiki.
Registration Code Required: To register for orientation, you must enter a registration code. This code was included in the confirmation email you received after applying for membership. If you can't find it, reach out to a board member or contact us through the website.
A government-issued photo ID
Your completed liability waiver (or plan to fill it out onsite)
Comfortable, closed-toe shoes (you may walk through active shop areas)
Any questions you have — we're here to help!
Orientation typically lasts 60–90 minutes and is led by one of our amazing member volunteers. Check back for additional dates if this session doesn't work for your schedule.
